Congratulations. Leanne Berry has nominated you for the 2010 Telstra Business Women's Awards for the following reason: "Mary is an inspiring regional entrepreneur, coach, mentor and speaker on strategies for business and personal success, education, communication and leadership. Mary has been a keynote speaker on education and success stories at conferences around the world and has just written a chapter in the book Lifting the Lid on Quiet Achievers - Success in Regional Australia. Throughout her walk through the world of business Mary has assisted many of her participants to realise their true potential. Mary continues to be an inspiration to me on my business journey".
For the past 16 years, the Awards have been celebrating the achievements of some of Australia's most inspirational business women - women who have pushed the boundaries and dared to dream. Now we want to hear your story.
2. Great news for Ballarat Secondary College.
As a result of the work that Mary has been involved with at Ballarat Secondary College, Innsbruk University has expressed an interest in continuing research into personalised learning
3. Women Out West meeting in Dubbo in April was also a great success. Comments included
I just wanted to say that the workshop was a huge success!!!!! Thankyou so much for doing it, everyone thoroughly enjoyed it, I knew they would thats why I wanted it to happen. Beth
4. The Open High School at Randwick held a very successful Staff Development Day. The comments that were sent to us as a result of the day include
• 'Reminding us that people are so different and as professionals we have to be aware of these differences and cater for the variation of students and teachers we deal with.'
• 'How we learn vs how we teach vs how the students we know are likely to learn.'
• 'Every information and activity was very valuable. The activities were excellently sequenced and lead to interesting group discussions. I enjoyed the day!'
